USS Washington was the second ship of the North Carolina class of battleships built just prior to World War II.
She is modeled here in 1/350 scale as she appeared and as outfitted at the Third Battle of Savo Island
(the Night Battle of Guadalcanal) November 14-15, 1942, where in one on one combat she sank the Japanese
battleship Kirishima.
This magnificent and thoroughly researched model of a legendary vessel demonstates amazing detail and accuracy.
The model is 24 inches in length and comes mounted on a fine wood base covered
with a durable acrylic case that measures 29.5" long, 7.5" wide and 10.5" high (including base).
