USS Alabama was the fourth and last ship of the South Dakota class of battleships built just prior to World War II. She is modeled here in 1/350 scale as she appeared and as outfitted in her unique MS-12 (modified) camouflage on her shakedown and training cruise, operating in Chesapeake Bay and out of Casco Bay, Maine between 11 November 1942 and 19 January 1943.

This rare model is 22.5 inches in length and comes mounted on a fine wood base covered with a durable acrylic case that measures 26" long, 7.25" wide and 10.25" high (including base).
