USS Nicholas was the fifth ship of the famous Fletcher class of destroyers built during World War II. She is modeled in 1/350 scale as she appeared and as outfitted on 2 September 1945 arriving at the Yokohama Customs House Pier to embark Allied dignitaries for transport to USS Missouri for the Japanese surrender ceremony.

The model is 13 inches in length and comes mounted on a fine wood base covered with a durable acrylic case. The case measures 14.5" long, 3.5" wide and 7.5" high (including base), for a nice fit on almost any shelf.

This beautiful model of a late war Fletcher class destroyer demonstates exact scale accuracy and unprecedented detail at it's scale.
